The Air Jordan 14 “Gym Red” is an unmistakable ode to the team uniform colors of the Chicago Bulls and Michael Jordan’s love of Ferrari supercars. This Summer 2020 release of Jordan’s fourteenth signature performance basketball shoe employs a familiar red, black, and white color scheme that was made famous by Jordan and his teammates throughout the 1990s. Blazing red nubuck appears on the upper, save for the contrasting black nubuck toe and mesh tongue. The aforementioned sports car inspiration comes into play as a tiny Jumpman emblem resembling a Ferrari logo dots the collar and black rubber bumper with white Jumpman and “23” branding graces the heel. The asymmetrical collar and spoiler-like design of the higher cut tongue combine to enhance the sporty nature of the shoe. Release date: July 2, 2020.
